Read about how we champion careers through support and opportunity
You’ve probably heard about our great tech, but our people are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that true success comes from nurturing talent, creating opportunities for growth, and investing in the future of the people who make us who we are. This belief isn’t just something we say, it’s something we live by.
We’re incredibly proud that Georgia Suttie, our National Operations Manager, was named a finalist in the Rising Star Mentee category at the prestigious Fast Forward 15 Mentoring Awards. This recognition highlights not only Georgia’s personal growth and career journey but also the supportive and empowering environment we strive to create at Clarity.
Fast Forward 15 is a highly respected, not-for-profit mentoring programme aimed at uplifting women in the events and hospitality industry. Georgia’s participation in the programme sparked a transformational period in her career, one marked by greater confidence, new challenges and impressive accomplishments.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be named a finalist… it genuinely changed the course of my career,”
said Georgia. “Since then, I’ve pushed myself further, grown in confidence and taken on new challenges.”
Georgia’s journey is just one example of how we empower individuals to take ownership of their development and turn potential into performance.
Our commitment to growth through mentorship and development goes even further through our Talent Academy, an internal programme designed to identify, support, and develop the next generation of leaders within Clarity.
Ashleigh Jackson, Senior Learning & Development Consultant who was part of the 2024/2025 Talent Academy cohort said,
“I reached out to Andy Pearce to mentor me through the programme. Having Andy as a mentor has been incredibly valuable to my development. He has both challenged and supported me, encouraging me to step outside of my comfort zone. Some of these activities have included the Neurodiversity Knowledge Exchange and our Elevate Leadership management development programme.
This mentorship has given me the confidence to share ideas for new learning activities we could offer our employees and has provided a safe, supportive environment to test those ideas.
Before joining the Talent Academy, I had never had a mentor, but I’ve come to truly appreciate the value of having someone there to guide and challenge you. I'm also really pleased that this mentoring relationship will continue beyond the Talent Academy.”
Last month, we brought together both the 2024/2025 graduates and the incoming 2025/2026 Talent Academy members at the Leonardo Hotel, Derby for a day of celebration, insight, and inspiration. Our newest cohort had the opportunity to connect with business leaders, including Pat McDonagh, our CEO, Jane Harrington, our Group HR Director and others, through engaging talks and open discussions that provided guidance on everything from communication styles to career development.
The event was more than a celebration, it was a clear reflection of how we value long-term development. From job shadowing and mentorship to guest speaker sessions and hands-on workshops, the Talent Academy provides a year-long learning experience tailored to the individual’s growth and the future needs of the business.
A huge congratulations goes out to our 2024/2025 graduating class, 25 individuals who have shown resilience, curiosity, and ambition throughout the year. We’re excited to see how they’ll apply what they’ve learned as they take their next steps within Clarity.
We also extend a warm welcome to the 2025/2026 cohort. These individuals have already shown the drive and potential needed to thrive, and we look forward to seeing them embrace the opportunities ahead.
What makes the Talent Academy truly special is its dual impact, it supports our people in achieving personal and professional growth, while strengthening us from within. It’s not just about training, it’s about transformation. The Academy equips participants with the confidence, business knowledge, and support network they need to progress in their careers, whether they’re unsure of their next step or ready to take a leap.
And for those wondering if it’s the right fit? Our answer is simple: if you’re eager to grow, willing to take charge of your development, and motivated to explore new possibilities, the Talent Academy might just be the catalyst for your career breakthrough.
We don’t just talk about people development like it’s a token gesture, we invest in it, celebrate it, and live it. Whether it’s through external awards nominations or internal platforms like our Talent Academy, we’re committed to helping every team member reach their full potential. But don’t just take our word for it, here’s just a selection of testimonials received from previous Talent Academy graduates!
“Take the opportunity. Embrace the mentorship. Put your all into the coaching - you never know what you might achieve!”
“You're too busy? Will you have the time? DO IT!! There will be tough times, there will be doubt but you will get through it!”
“The Talent Academy opened up the business to me and taught me so much about the business and opportunities within.”
“I am supported, I am valued and I am recognised.”
“Brilliant opportunity to get personalised support with career planning and development.”
Congratulations once again to Georgia, our 2024/2025 graduates, and welcome to our 2025/2026 Talent Academy members. Here’s to the future, clearer, brighter, and filled with possibility for all those who make us who we are!
